After a very long intermission from my blog, I have news to share about a new release... Killer Appeal, my 1920's suspense, will release on Dec. 9 from Decadent Publishing! KA will be available at the publisher's website as well as most online retailers. What is Killer Appeal, you ask? Here's a little taste of what you don't want to miss... With two fiancés murdered a week before her weddings, what man would dare love her? Sinful love is in the air, yet Liv Erichsen is beyond its reach. With two fiancés murdered a week before her weddings, what man would dare love her? In walks Mason Davidson, a handsome devil and a rogue to a lady’s honor. Liv knows she should avoid him, and yet, his bold touch sets her afire. Mason came to Valhalla Estate for one reason and one reason only—to catch a killer. But he’s never met a woman quite like Liv before. She’s spirited, intelligent, and drives him crazy with lust, even though her curse could be hazardous to his health. Now he wants Liv for himself. And he’s willing to risk everything, including his life, to get what he wants. EXCERPT: He stumbled back, stunned she had caught him off guard. “Didn’t your mother warn you not to manhandle a woman?” Though he wanted to push her ire further, Mason stood a safe distance away. “If she did, I regret my loss of memory.” “You’re lucky. I’ve got a decent punch, too. I’m Liv. Olen Erichsen’s daughter.” Mason stared at her in utter shock. Of all the ridiculous things he could have done, making a pass at Miss Erichsen topped the list. With the utmost caution, he returned to his chair and sat back down. He did not want her hitting him again, though he had to admit she packed an impressive blow. His cheek still ached and no doubt displayed her palm print. “My apologies. I didn’t know—” “Of course you didn’t know.” She lifted her hand, still holding the cigarette, and took another long drag. The haughty look she gave him made him even more nervous. “Snuggle-pups never bother to take the time to really know girls, do they?” What answer could he give to that? And what in God’s name was a…snuggle-pup? Judging by the extreme turn of events, the term was not a compliment. Miss Erichsen walked over to the hutch and snubbed out her cigarette in the ashtray. He watched her suspiciously, imagining the vixen withdrawing some barbaric weapon hidden beneath the wooden structure. When she removed a decanter and tumbler from the cupboard beneath, he sighed, sinking back against the chair’s high back. His sharp gaze never left her face. “I won’t apologize for hitting you, as you most certainly deserved it. A man should never play rough with a woman. However, I’ll still give you some hooch. You look like you need it.” Miss Erichsen filled the glass with what looked like a sip of heaven to a man burning in prohibition hell. He wondered how the man of the house managed to get liquor so far from civilization, especially in these repressed times. She sauntered over to hand him the drink. Mason had to force himself not to provoke her anger further, for her defiance brought out the rake in him. What he really wanted was to press her against the wall and ravish her with a kiss…make her nipples harden. Show her that playing rough had its rewards. He took the drink and sniffed. The familiar, rich scent of good giggle juice wafted up. He downed the contents, grateful for the tasty distraction, but kept a keen eye on the dangerous beauty. Nothing in the world turned him on more than a powerful woman who spoke her mind and stood her ground. In addition, her drop-dead gorgeous looks deepened his desire tenfold. “I suggest you get cleaned up before dinner. You look like a wet tramp.” With one last lingering glance, she exited the room, leaving Mason wearing an amused grin as he enjoyed an eyeful of her delicious ass. Intrigued? Buy the ebook Dec. 9! Until next time folks! ~Shady
